What to write in a Thanksgiving card

October 30, 2014

When it comes to sending out business holiday cards to your co-workers and customers, you might jot down a festive greeting or thank a customer for their continued loyalty. However, Thanksgiving cards seem to be less popular than Christmas or New Year's sentiments. So what are you supposed to write in a Thanksgiving card? Not to worry, I have a few ideas for you:

For a customer
If you're sending out Thanksgiving cards to a customer or client, you'll want to keep the message brief and professional. Here's an example:

"I'm so grateful for your continued loyalty to our business. Thank you for thinking of us when it comes to [enter the product or service you offer here]."

Tip: Don't hesitate to be specific when it comes to what you're thankful for. A customer will feel even more appreciated when they know that you recognize the little things.

For a co-worker
When mailing Thanksgiving cards to co-workers who you're close with, you're allowed to be a bit more personal. Keep your message short and sweet, like these:

"I'm so grateful that I have a co-worker like you to spend eight hours a day with."

OR

"I love working at [enter the name of your business] because it means I have the opportunity to get to know you."

Finish off your card with any of these closing statements that would be perfect for either a client or a fellow employee:

  • Gratefully
  • Warmest wishes
  • Blessings
  • Thanksgiving blessings
  • With gratitude
  • Warmly
  • With thanks
