How to write a custom note in your holiday card

If you're planning on mailing out business holiday cards to your fellow employees and customers, always take the time to write a quick handwritten note and sign your name. Doing so only takes a few extra seconds and instantly personalizes your holiday card. The message could be different depending on the person, but keep it short and sweet. Bear in mind that if you're not sure what holiday the card recipient celebrates, the greeting should remain neutral. Here are some suggestions on being brief but sincere:

  • "Happy holidays, [insert name]! Hope it's an unforgettable time for you and your loved ones."
  • "Merry Christmas! Wishing you a warm and happy holiday season."
  • "We hope you have a relaxing Christmas, [insert names]!"
  • "Thinking of you and hoping you have a wonderful holiday season."
  • "Thinking of you and wishing you a lovely holiday."
  • "Peace and joy to you and your loved ones during this special time of year."

Be sure to write out the recipient's address, your return address and don't forget the postage stamp.
