What to put in your custom business greeting card

Custom business greeting cards offer a great way for companies to convey their brand and values. This is a hands-on process, though, so it’s important to know exactly what you want your cards to say. Here are some tips to get you started:

Consider the text

Using clear and concise language that is free of spelling and grammatical errors is crucial in representing your company in a positive light. That means everything from business and customer names must be correct. Write out a few message options and then confer with co-workers. Which better says what you want to get across? For a holiday card, you may consider, “Seasons greetings from Welsh Contracting” as well as, “Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a happy New Year from Welsh Contracting.” Each offers a slightly different message.

Add a photo

One of the benefits of custom greeting cards is the ability to include photos and logos. Make sure you add your logo somewhere on the card. This could take the place of a signature or even go on the envelope so recipients know where the card is coming from before they open it. Photos can also make an excellent cover to the card. An image of your staff smiling at the camera may provide a perfect, “Welcome to our company!” card that conveys your appreciation of the recipient using your business. Be sure to use the proper file format when uploading images. This will ensure the process goes smoothly and your cards turn out perfect.

“Signatures add a personal element to business greeting cards.”

Include signatures

Another helpful aspect of custom business cards is the opportunity to include the signatures of your staff or higher-ups. This removes the need to have everyone hand sign cards before they go out while still adding a personal element to each card. Have your staff sign one white piece of paper and then upload that image to the custom card template and adjust it so the signatures appear as if they were naturally signed at the bottom of the text.

Don’t forget contact information

While this is a thoughtful gesture, business greeting cards still serve a purpose – to spread your company message. Make sure recipients can easily get ahold of you by adding contact info to the cards. Includes your address, website and phone number on the inside or back of the card for easy viewing.
