With the holidays just around the corner, it's a good time to think about how you can let your employees know you appreciate their hard work and dedication. As a small business owner, you want to make sure each and every one of your workers feels valued for the time they spend at your business. One of the best ways you can get your message across this year is by sending holiday cards to your employees.

Sending business holiday cards is a convenient, inexpensive way to make all your workers feel appreciated. Here are three things to keep in mind as you prepare your holiday cards:

1. Choose an appropriate card
Since you are in a work setting, try to steer away from denomination cards. Go for one that wishes individuals "Happy Holidays" rather than a "Merry Christmas." Check out Brookhollow's "Sparkling Season Holiday Card" and "Vibrant Swirls Holiday Card," for starters.

2. Write a personalized message
Since you'll be sending these out to more than one individual, take a few moments to write a custom message for each person. It doesn't have to be lengthy, but your message should highlight at least one thing that you appreciate about each employee. Try to express your gratitude for his or her hard work and loyalty. Basically, you want to write a message similar to that of a thank you card.

3. Handwrite it!
It only takes a few minutes longer to write something by hand, but the message it sends is well worth the extra time spent. Your employees will recognize that you took time out of your day to jot something down for each and every one of them, rather than simply signing and sending.
